Former Rebel One Jump Closer To Olympic Gold

JACKSON, Miss. -- A former Ole Miss Rebel will get a chance to go for the gold at the Olympics in Beijing.According to the official Beijing Olympic Web site, Gulfport native Brittney Reese qualified at the top of her group in the long jump competition Monday night in China.Reese holds the fourth-best long jump record in the world.
The women's long jump finals are scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m.
